Boat Wave

Hi, Im looking for the best way to create the scene that have the boat on the water. They have the boat wave effect on the side and the end of the boat and the water around the boat rise up a little bit.
Until now, I have the the Idea for this is create a emitter from the head and end of the boat and that emitter have effect to the plane and make it rase with material displacement.
Does anyone have any method for that scene that dont need any plugin or other sofware ? Thanks
