Was wondering if someone could help me. We have a studio that uses both Mac and PC’s and also a dedicated Render Node which is windows based. We have a project that we are trying to render via team render, the project was created on a mac and we want to use Team Render on the Windows machines to help with the render.
The project contains lots of moving screens that are animated with mp4 files. When the job comes back from Team Render the screens are blank apart from the ones done on the mac. After some inspection it seems on a PC C4d says that the mp4 is an invalid file even though the pc will open the file and play it in a media player. Rendering out all the screens as a image sequence creates too many frames and tends to crash, so what would be the best format to use for animated files placed on the screens in C4D for team render to work.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Mike
Think I may of sorted it, PC’s need quicktime installed for C4D to play movie files by the looks of it.
