Good Evening,
I was wondering how I can retain the actual file names of the texture maps when I drag them from the Finder to the Material Node Editor. I remember that they didn’t have the generic names (Image.1, Image.2 etc) before. Instead the they where named, for example, filename.ao.tif which made it both fast and easy to distinguish the different texture maps from each other.
While improving a template Project file, which starts up with C4D, this problem arose.
In the video “Node-based Materials: How to Create a Texture-Based PBR Material with an easy-to-use Interface” by Jonas Pilz the names are retained.
As always, I hope this is something I missed checking/unchecking. I have tried with several files and the same thing happens.
